The Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Part-Time Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud-based systems on AWS. The hourly rate for this position will be in the range of 1500-2000 BDT, and you may be required to work approximately 20 hours per week.

 

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage applications on AWS, utilizing various AWS services effectively.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated application deployment.
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications.
• Work closely with software development team to ensure reliable and scalable deployments;
• Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Bitbucket or GitLab or Github;
• Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of our cloud infrastructure
• Perform debugging, monitoring, and system health checks to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Possess a working knowledge of databases and SQL for efficient data management.
• Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Explore and implement ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge transfer.

 

Requirements:

• Have minimum of 4 years of professional experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in CI/CD implementation and maintaining deployment pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Are experience with AWS ECS, Cognito, RDS, IAM Identity Center (SSO), CloudFront, Lambda and other AWS services;
• Excellent debugging, monitoring, and system health checking skills.
• Ability to scale systems efficiently while optimizing costs.
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL for efficient data management.
• Have knowledge of best practices for cloud security and compliance;
• Experience in automating development and release processes.
• Strong documentation skills for process and knowledge transfer.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

 

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 20 hours per week, although it may vary from project to project. The hourly rate for this position is 1500-2000 BDT.
